What Is A Wireless Bridge?

As the name suggests, a wireless bridge is a bridge for wireless networks. They use wireless transmission to bridge communication between two or more networks. Wireless bridges are divided into circuit-type bridges and data-type bridges based on their communication mechanisms. Circuit-type bridges utilize PDH/SDH microwave transmission principles for wireless transmission, and the interface protocol is implemented using bridging principles. They feature stable data rates and low transmission latency, making them suitable for multimedia network solutions and the interconnection of 3G/4G mobile communication base stations.

Data-type bridges use an IP transmission mechanism, and the interface protocol is implemented using bridging principles. They offer flexible networking and low cost, making them suitable for network data transmission and low-level surveillance image transmission. They are widely used in various data network solutions based on a pure IP architecture.
